CONGREGATIONS at churches across Cheetham and Crumpsall are inviting people to share in their Easter celebrations in the coming week. Christian groups ranging from the Church of England, through Seventh Day Adventists to Assemblies of God Shekinah, who conduct services in French, are involved in Churches Together in M8. Organisers aim to encourage local churches of different traditions to worship together and work together. Church congregations send representatives to the meetings (about 5 a year). Among their events are several joint Sunday services each year, a procession of witness, carols in Cheetham precinct and the annual Christian Aid collection. Crumpsall Methodist, Lansdowne Rd.
