A SCHOOLBOY suffered a broken nose when he refused to hand over his bike to a thief who then beat him black and blue before running off empty handed. At 6pm on Tuesday, March 28 a 13-year-old boy was riding his bike along St Mary?s Road, Moston when he was stopped by a young man who tried to take the bike from him. The boy resisted but was pushed to the ground where the offender kicked him in the face and jumped on his head. The boy let go of the bike but the offender continued to hit him and eventually ran off without taking it. The youngster was left shocked and distressed with a broken nose and severe bruising and swelling to his left cheek. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident or recognise the description of the offender who was white, aged 16 to 20 years, about 6ft tall with short brown hair and a spotty face. He was wearing black Reebok bottoms, brown Rockport shoes and a navy blue coat with red cuffs and white stripes. |
