ACTORS in the panto Jack and the Beanstalk appear to have fallen for the ?magic bean? trick for real after appealing for dried pulses to raise cash. Performers in the production opening at Abraham Moss Theatre this month have asked shops and restaurants to donate tons of dried beans for a mural to decorate the theatre foyer. The art work, depicting a cow, will be created by adults and children taking part in the panto in a 12-hour sponsored stick up. They hope to raise thousands of pounds for charities and help double last year?s total of ?3,000 collected for Age Concern. |
