North Manchester General Hospital
North Manchester General Hospital
NT hospitals in north Manchester are to be recognised for their contribution to area's heritage with a ?15,000 grant to record old memories and artefacts for future generations.

Staff at North Manchester General Hospital are gathering up old tales and photographs from health workers and former patients at the redundant Crumpsall, Monsall, Northern, Ancoats and Jewish hospitals.

The five hospitals were brought together under North Manchester General Hospital but staff now hope to guarantee their place in local history with the cash from the government's Local Heritage Initiative.

Funds will be used to create an exhibition of memories, images and artefacts. There will also be a history booklet and an interactive CD.

Do you remember being a patient or a worker at one of north Manchester's old hospitals or have any old photographs or documents from the time?
