PARISHONERS have welcomed their new priest Father Frank Parkinson who takes over St Dunstan's RC Church in Moston.

Fr Parkinson replaces Fr Michael Kujacz who leaves in September to take up a new post in Spain where he will undertake a review of the church's training colleges.

The parish is also providing a temporary home to Fr David Ryder who is filling in as chaplain at North Manchester General Hospital until Fr David Glover recovers from injuries he suffered in a car accident.

Fr Glover was injured when he was in collision with a truck and suffered serious injuries. He has been discharged from hospital but says he is still in pain and has only limited mobility on the left-hand side of his body.

He is not expected to return to his duties until next year but has issued thanks to all those who have sent cards and good wishes during his illness.

Meanwhile worshippers at Moston Methodist Church have welcomed their new minister Rev Janet Aspey who begins her work in the area this week.
