![]() Lansdowne Road The area lost its only supermarket when the Co-op pulled out of the area a year ago leaving the parade without a vital retail anchor needed to attract customers. Businesses have continued to survive despite the blow and the custom manages to support two thriving butchers, a bakers, a newsagent, four hair salons, a beauty parlour, electrical store, a pet shop, a general store and a betting shop. Traders are hoping Tuesday's opening will plug the gap left by the Co-op and give shoppers the opportunity to meet all their shopping needs without travelling outside the area. |
