ORGANISERS are meeting on Tuesday to make the final plans for the popular Crumpsall Carnival due to take place on Sunday, July 15. The meeting will be held at 8pm at 19 Westbury Road when anyone willing to take on a task on the day including setting up stalls, marshalling the parade, selling programmes or clearing up after the event is asked to attend. The fifth annual Crumpsall Carnival starts at 12noon and runs until 5pm. There will be a fancy dress parade leaving Herristone Park at 12.30 accompanied by horses and a pipe Band marching to Crumpsall Park where prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. There will also be organised sports including six-a- side, tennis coaching, fitness challenges, quick cricket, basketball shooting and quad bikes. ![]() Last year, crowds were entertained by Glam R Us There will also be English and Asian food stalls, plant stalls, second-hand books, bric-a-brac, crafts, and a chance to find out about the work of other community organisations in the area and become involved.
