GRIMEBUSTERS have raised thousands of pounds for overseas aid after volunteering to clean up North Manchester General Hospital for charity. More than 150 volunteers gave the hospital an extra polish in aid of the Hope Worldwide fund which helps people in India. The money raised will go to leprosy sufferers in New Delhi, TB treatment programmes, orphans, schools, computer training, medical services and Christian missionary work. Donations were collected from patients, staff and visitors during the clean-up which organisers how will help towards a ?7,000 target. |
