Manchester's parks should become safer under new scheme
Y team has been set up to provide round-the-clock protection for north Manchester parks.

Manchester City Council has organised security teams to tackle anti-social behaviour with patrols covering parks, playing fields and other open spaces.

Councillor Glynn Evans, the council's leisure chief. Said: "Our parks and open spaces are fantastic resources for everyone who lives in Manchester.

"This new service is proof of our commitment to make them safe and secure for everyone who uses them and deal appropriately with individuals who spoil the enjoyment of the vast majority of people."
