A DEVOTED mother has told how her son's tragic death has meant life for four others after he was killed in a car accident in Cheetham.

Wade McDonald suffered fatal head injuries when he was knocked down by a car as he rode his bike near his Cheetham Hill home and, despite desperate attempts to save him, he never recovered.

The car driver is serving a four-year jail sentence after admitting causing death by dangerous driving.

His brave mum Maxine agreed to have his organs donated so that other children might have a chance of life through transplants which saved four including a 10-year-old girl who needed a heart and lung swap.

A memorial to Wade is being planned in Smedley Fields recreation Ground.
