![]() Broadway and Failsworth Life Saving Club At the Royal Life Saving Society Manchester and District Branch 100th AGM, the Broadway and Failsworth Life Saving Club was presented with the three branch achievement awards. Awards are collated from a table which records all attainments in the Manchester district during the last twelve months and points are allocated.. Broadway and Failsworth Life Saving Club achieved the highest points for Life Support 1, 2, & 3. and have been awarded the Healey Shield. They were also joint winners, along with Copley LSC for the number of Bronze Medallions which earned them the Bukta Shield. In addition, the branch, which attracts members from all over north Manchester, gained the highest number of points overall, and were awarded the Alden Trophy. The club was represented by three junior members, Darren and Kirsty Hark and Matthew Flint, senior member Derek Woolley, and training officer Bill Andrew. Meetings are held every Monday from 8pm to 9pm at Broadway Pools, Broadway, New Moston and on Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm at Failsworth Sports Centre, Brierley Ave, Failsworth. Open water meetings are held between April & September at Debdale Water Park, (weather permitting). Further information on the club can be obtained at Broadway & Failsworth Life Saving Club |
