AGE is proving no barrier to prospective buyers at a new housing development in Blackley where young professionals are rubbing shoulders with `empty nesters'. The two-bedroom properties at Harwood Homes' Victoria Gardens development are appealing equally to people at both ends of the property ladder. First time buyers wanting a base close to the city and older couples looking for smaller, more manageable properties are moving into the area providing a diverse community. Harwood Homes field sales manager Irene Grifford says: "These apartments appeal to young people, whose busy lives mean they want a home that's convenient, easy to maintain and efficient to run. "At the same time, they're also ideal for older customers, who no longer want the responsibility and running costs of the larger, often draughty house that's been the family home for years." The development also features a selection of two and three-bedroom terraced, semi and detached houses which are providing affordable homes for growing families keen to stay in the Blackley area. The company is also helping people market their existing home and offering help with estate agents fees to encourage more people into the neighbourhood. Irene added: "We've helped hundreds of people to find a buyer for their existing property, usually in a matter of weeks - and sometimes only days." |
