MEETING up with some of the country's top youth soccer talent overwhelmed youngsters at Abraham Moss who took part in the ENS Manchester Youth International football tournament.

The aspiring team who come together every Saturday morning have come to expect success after taking home trophies in this summer's matches held at Crumpsall Carnival and Queen's Park.

They could not have been more disappointed when they went down 20-0 to Moston Brook in the u11s - until, that is, they went down 21-0 to Wythenshawe Amateurs in the u13s.

They managed to hold the favourite's Fletcher Moss Rangers A to a 10-0 scoreline and put one past Flixton Juniors AFC to finish 9-1, Fletcher Moss B beat them 7-0 and Chaddy End Boys only managed a 6-0 win against them in the u11s.

Moston Brook, who were beaten 3-2 by Fletcher Moss A in the first round, beat Fletcher Moss B 3-0 in the second but in the third lost to Flixton Juniors 2-1 before beating Chaddy End Boys.

They ended in third place after being beaten by Fletcher Moss A in the semi final for the age group.

In the u13s first round Abraham Moss went down 21-0 to Wythenshawe and 18-0 to Stretford. In round two it was 8-0 to Fletcher Moss Rangers and 5-1 to Wythenshawe Amateurs.

Abraham Moss' fate was sealed with a 6-1 defeat to Stretford Victoria and 12-1 to Fletcher Moss Rangers.
