TWO TEENAGERS were lucky to escape with their lives and three others were injured when a car ploughed into a phone box on Grange Park Road, Blackley. The two girls were inside the call box when a Vauxhall Astra being driven towards Charlestown Road went out of control and mounted the pavement. The car hit the phonebox and both girls suffered severe leg injuries. Two men walking nearby were also injured along with the driver and all five had to be treated at North Manchester General Hospital. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident. |
