A FENCE put up without permission around Moston Labour Club will stay in place despite complaints that it is an eyesore. Neighbours complain the 7ft 8in steel fence erected outside the Moston Lane club is out of character and is seen as a challenge by local children who try to scale it causing a noise nuisance. Planning officials agreed such a fence would not normally be allowed in a residential area as it is more appropriate to an industrial setting and did have a detrimental impact on the area. The fence has since been painted improving its appearance and it has been agreed the fence should remain in place but that there should be landscaping to soften the impact. |
