Armed raid on bookies
ARMED robbers raided a betting office on Moston Lane, Moston at 5pm on Friday, May 5. Two offenders walked into Cole Bookmakers armed with a crowbar and a baseball bat. They threatened staff before snatching a small amount of cash. They escaped in a Black Seat Ibiza car driven by a third man. All three were white, one was 6ft tall, stocky and wore a black jacket and balaclava. The second was of medium build, with black short hair and a pock-marked face. The third was less than 6ft tall and also wore a black jacket and balaclava. Witnesses are asked to contact Greymare Lane police station or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. The 12-year-old boy had been walking through the park with a friend at around 5.30pm on Sunday, April 31 when they were surrounded by a group of Asian youths, aged about 16 years. They threatened they boys before snatching ?1 from his pocket. The group then escaped on bicycles. Police are warning visitors to the park to be on their guard and are appealing for any witnesses. Firefighters were called out to the burning Fiat just after midnight on Sunday, April 13. The car was destroyed but the water in the pool had not been contaminated and was said to be safe to use. Bag snatch
Police are hunting a white male, aged 15 to 20 years, 5ft 10in tall, slim, with short dark hair. He was wearing a red T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. |
