SPORTS enthusiasts could help themselves to a coaching career through a series of workshops aimed at people in north Manchester. The National Coaching Foundation is staging coaching workshops at the North Manchester Community Sports Centre on Charlestown Road, Blackley on Wednesday, January 26 to help train players to become sports coaches. The three-hour practical sessions are targeted at those hoping to obtain Level 3 National Standards in coaching. Participants will learn how to design and implement effective practice strategies top maximise skill acquisition, development and retention. All candidates on the course must be aged 16 and over and the session from 6.30pm to 9.30pm costs ?10 for Manchester residents.
